An extensive local bus network provides low-cost travel between Heathrow and towns in west London.
Bus services to locations outside Greater London are provided by several operators. Information can be found at traveline.info or by calling 0871 200 22 33 (12 pence per minute from landlines and mobiles – your phone company may add its own access charge but it will tell you about this).

Cash payment is not accepted on Transport for London buses.

A pay-as-you-go adult fare is £1.50 with an Oyster, Visitor Oyster or contactless payment card (UK-issued).

Children aged 5-18 and students may be eligible for free or discounted travel on buses and other TfL transport.
Heathrow central bus station is located between Terminals 2 and 3. The terminals are a few minutes' walk away and well signposted.
The bus station is open 24 hours a day and the travel centre is open from 06:00 to 22:30. Baggage trolleys are available and there is a lift to the underground level.

Some local bus services around the airport site are free.
Picking up and dropping off is not permitted in the central bus station. Please use the set-down lanes outside the terminals. You may unload on the terminal forecourt but waiting is not permitted. Police and airport staff patrol the forecourts and will ask waiting vehicles to move on.
If you are meeting someone you must use the Short Stay Car Park in Terminal 2 or Terminal 3. Waiting is not permitted on the terminal forecourt.
Alternatively you can use the Long Stay car park free of charge for up to two hours. Re-entry to Long Stay is prohibited within 24 hours.
