Travelling through Heathrow

As always, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to the airport and we’re working hard to make sure your trip runs as smoothly as possible. To help with this process, please be aware of the following:


Consider your arrival times

Allow 3 hours to check-in before your flight and make sure all your travel documents are up-to-date. Please do not turn up significantly early for your flight though, as this can cause unnecessary congestion in the airport.


Terminal Drop-Off Charge

A £5 charge applies to vehicles dropping off passengers at the designated drop-off zones, located directly outside the terminals. Discounts and exemptions apply. Free drop-off is available at our Long Stay car parks.


Terminal 4 airline moves

Terminal 4 has re-opened and up to 30 airlines are moving there during the summer. You should always keep in touch with your airline to confirm which terminal your flight departs from before travelling to the airport.

    Heathrow Parking FAQs

    Everything you need to know about booking official parking at Heathrow Airport.

    We want you to feel confident when booking your car parking through Heathrow Airport.  Whether you have a question about an existing booking, or need help completing your purchase, our Parking frequently asked questions are here to help.

    The quickest and easiest way to book is through our website.  By pre booking you will benefit from our online prices which are cheaper than turning up on the day.

    You will be able to make amendments up to 24 hours before your arrival time if your plans change.

    We know plans can change unexpectedly, so when you book Official Heathrow Parking, if you need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 2 hours before you are due to arrive without being charged.

    If you need to amend a booking, any additional charges or refunds will be calculated based on the changes you make.

    You can cancel or amend your booking through Manage my booking

    After you've made your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a booking refernece number.  Please print this out and bring it with you to the airport.

    If you need your booking confirmation re-sent, you can request this through Manage my booking.

    We reccomend you make your booking in advance to your travel date, that way you will benefit from our discounted online only prices.

    You are welcome to turn up on the day for our Short Stay parking but will pay our on the day prices.  Our other Parking options must have a booking completed in advance.


    If your flight is delayed and you go over your parking end time, you will be charged based on the number of hours or days you have stayed in addition to your booking. 

    All email confirmations acts as your VAT receipt - this also includes any amendments to your booking.

    At the b0ttom of the confirmation you will find the following information:

    • the booking amount
    • The statement: "this email is your VAT receipt"
    • VAT no 927 3654 04

    Yes you can, follow the booking process and it will ask for all of your flight and terminal information for arrival and departure.

    Short Stay, Valet Parking and Meet & Greet

    Follow directions for your Heathrow Terminal – the Short Stay car parks are clearly signposted from the approach roads. The terminals are just a short walk away.

    Please call the number on your confirmation email if you are running late and one of our colleagues will arrange for your car to returned to the Terminal.

    We know travel plans can change so we have an amendment and cancellation policy to support this. Your welcome to cancel your Heathrow Official car park booking as long as you make the cancellation at least 2 hours before the booked entry time and date. You can do this via the Manage my booking.

    If you haven’t received a confirmation email please check your junk folder, you can also request a replacement confirmation via manage my booking.

    Heathrow Official Parking do not offer promo codes, as our pre-bookable rates are already discounted. 

    You are unable to leave your vehicle charging whilst away.

    However if you park in our Short Stay car parks there are free electric vehicle charging points available on your return.

    Electric charging points cannot be pre-booked

    Heathrow Rewards points for car parking bookings will not show on your account until the booking has been completed, it can take up to 14 days to show on the account after you have exited the car park.

    Short Stay

    The maximum height at the barriers for our Short Stay car park’s is 2.2m (7ft 2in).

    Long Stay

    The maximum height at the exit barriers for our Long Stay car park’s is 2.4m (8ft).

    Pod Parking

    There are no height restrictions for our POD car park.
