Changes to Terminal 4 parking from 23 June

From 23 June 2026, the Terminal 4 multi-storey car park (for Terminal and Meet & Greet Parking) will close as part of a major redevelopment programme to modernise the terminal's forecourts and car park, improving passenger experience.

All passenger parking for Terminal 4 will move to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park.

From 23 June 2026, a new Priority Pick-Up area will open. This will offer the most convenient way to pick up passengers from Terminal 4.

Charges will apply for use of this area, depending on the time spent there. Vehicles should not be left unattended in this area.

You can only make payments online or by automated phone line after your visit. You can also use AutoPay through a Personal or Business Account.

You must make your payment by midnight on the day after your visit. Failure to pay may result in the issuing of a Parking Charge (PC).

If you already have a Terminal Drop-Off account, you don’t need to register again. Sign in to manage your vehicles, payment details and journey history.

Blue Badge discounts or exemptions do not apply to Terminal 4 Priority Pick-Up.

Terminal 4’s Priority Pick-Up area can be reached by following Salisbury Road. From the Terminal 4 Roundabout, stay in the two right-hand lanes and follow the road to the clearly marked area.

How the charge works

A charge applies each time your vehicle enters the Terminal 4 Priority Pick-Up area.

Terminal 4 Priority Pick-Up charges are:

  • Up to 10 minutes: £7.00
  • 11-29 minutes: £14.00
  • 30-60 minutes: £25.00
  • Over 60 minutes: £25.00 for each additional 60 minutes (or part thereof)
  • Maximum daily charge: £200.00

How to pay the charge

Payments can only be made by card. Cash and cheque payments are not accepted.

You have three ways to pay:

  • Online
  • By automated phone service
  • Automatically using autopay

You cannot pay for a pick-up at a ticket machine or in the pick-up area. There are no barriers; you incur a charge upon entering the area.

Non-payment will result in an £80 Parking Charge (PC), reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days.

Payment for use of the Terminal 4 Priority Pick-Up area must be made by midnight the following day.

Free pick-up at Terminal 4 is available using Zone A of the Park & Ride car park.

Charges for using Zone A are:

  • 0-2 hours: Free
  • 2-4 hours: £9.40
  • 4-24 hours: £46.80
  • Each additional 24-hour period or part thereof: £37.40

Zone A is perfect for:

Accompanying departing passengers into the terminal
Meeting arriving passengers in the terminal.

Free, frequent shuttle buses run between the car park and the terminal. Transfers take as little as six minutes. All buses are fully accessible with plenty of luggage space.

Terminal 4 drop-offs will continue as normal.

A £7 charge applies for each visit to the terminal forecourt. Vehicles should not be left unattended in this area.

Unless otherwise stated, all vehicles entering  Terminal 4 Priority Pick Up are subject to the charge.

Vehicles that are exempt from the Priority Pick Up Charge are: 

  • military vehicles; 
  • emergency service vehicles; and 
  • Heathrow operational vehicles, i.e., Heathrow-owned fleet; vehicles with a valid Heathrow landside permit which specifies that they have Priority Pick Up access; and vehicles with a valid approval which specifies that they have Priority Pick Up access. 

Blue Badge discounts or exemptions do not apply to Terminal 4 Priority Pick-Up.
