See the big five at the Masai Mara

Kenya is a hotbed of roving wildlife and none of its wide-open savannah plains are more spectacular than the large game reserve of the Masai Mara.

If you're lucky you’ll bear witness to all the big five African animals here: the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and cape buffalo.

You can board twice-daily game drives with experienced rangers, explore on foot with guided walks, take to the skies in a hot air balloon, mix with the locals in a village tour, go on a horseback tour and even celebrate the sunset with Maasai warriors.

And if you go at the right time of the year (July or November) you might even see the incredible wildebeest migrations from the nearby Serengeti plains.

Nature in full majestic flow.

While away the days on Diani beach

One of the best beach destinations in the whole of Africa, if not the best, Diani really is the epitome of a tropical paradise with glorious white sands and crystal-clear blue waters that are custom-designed for sunshine loafing and best-in-class snorkelling.

Kenya is one of the only places in the world where you’ll be able to see reef sharks and swim with the endangered Green and Hawksbill turtles, so a waterproof camera is a must.

Kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and scuba-diving are also available, as are safaris and trips into local villages.

Diani has everything: it’s the perfect base to begin your African adventure or a heavenly retreat after you finish your safari.
