Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line train services to Heathrow on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2025.

 

Piccadilly line services from Central London will be running as normal, but these services will be much busier than normal.

 

Please allow for extra time when making journeys on public transport over the weekend.

Terminal Parking, formerly known as Short Stay Parking, for Terminal 5 is a great option for anyone looking for a convenient start and finish to their airport journey, with the car park just a short distance from the Terminal 5 departures and arrivals areas.

The car park’s proximity to the terminal also makes it a great option for any drop-offs or pick-ups.

Terminal 5 Terminal Parking can be booked in advance using the widget at the top of the page or paid for on exit at the barriers or on-foot ticket machines in the car park.

How to get to Terminal 5 Terminal Parking

The Terminal Parking car park for Terminal 5 is positioned adjacent to the terminal, just a short distance from both the departures and arrivals halls, which are accessible by covered walkways.

From the M25, take the junction 14 exit following signs for Terminal 5, which will lead you onto the Terminal 5 Spur Road. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Wayfarer Road, where the entrance to the Terminal Parking car park splits off from the right-hand lane. M4 users should leave at Junction 4B and join the M25 before exiting at Junction 14 and following the above instructions.

Please note, following the recent renaming of our Short Stay car parks to Terminal Parking, road signs around the airport and some in-terminal signage will still refer to Short Stay Parking while we work towards fully implementing this change.

How Parking at Terminal 5 Works

  1. Book in advance – To get the best possible price for your parking, we recommend booking any stays longer than 24 hours in advance using the widget at the top of the page. For shorter stays, including any pick-ups and drop-offs, please drive into the car park and pay on exit.

  2. Arriving at Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park - Drive up to the barrier on arrival, where your vehicle registration will be read and a ticket will be issued if you have pre-booked. For short stays, press the button to print your ticket.

  3. Parking – Spaces across any level of the car park can be used. When parked, take note of your vehicle’s location, including the level and row.

  4. Getting to Terminal 5 –The Terminal Parking car park is connected to the main Terminal 5 building via covered walkways. The departures hall is located on the top floor, whilst the arrivals area is on the ground floor.

  5. When you return – Head back into the Terminal Parking car park from the main terminal building and drive down to the exit gates on the ground floor. At the gates, your number plate will be read, and the barrier will open if you have pre-booked. For on-the-day payments, you can pay at either the exit barriers or at in-car park ticket machines.

 

How much is Terminal Parking at Terminal 5?

How much your Terminal Parking at Terminal 5 will cost depends on the duration of your stay.

For stays longer than 24 hours in duration, the best prices are offered online by booking in advance. You can do this using the widget at the top of the page.

Any stays under 24 hours, including pick-ups and drop-offs, should be paid for on the day using ticket machines in the Terminal Parking car park, or at the exit barrier. A full list of prices for drive-up users can be found below.

Do I need to book Terminal Parking at Terminal 5?

Whilst it is not a necessity to book your parking in the Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park in advance, we would recommend doing so for stays longer than 24 hours, to guarantee a space during busier months and benefit from our cheaper, online-only prices.

Pre-booked stays can also be amended or cancelled for free up to two hours before your booked arrival time.

How long can I stay in Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park?

99 days is the longest possible time you can pre-book a stay in the Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park.

If you require a longer stay in Terminal Parking, you can do so by driving into the car park and paying the daily drive-up rates listed on this page.

Is there electric vehicle charging available in the Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park?

There are no provisions for electric vehicle charging in our Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park currently.

Considering this, any EVs should be charged enough for their entry and exit from the car park before arriving.

Customers should use the Fast Track / Overheight Vehicles entrance on the ground floor of Terminal Parking car park 5. This area has a minimum charge of £17.40 for up to two hours.
