Due to planned engineering works, there will be no Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line train services to Heathrow on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2025.

 

Piccadilly line services from Central London will be running as normal, but these services will be much busier than normal.

 

Please allow for extra time when making journeys on public transport over the weekend.

From 16 September 2024, our Long Stay Parking product has been renamed to Heathrow Park & Ride. Please note that signage around the airport will still refer to Long Stay parking. The location of the car park has not changed, and these signs should still be followed.

What is Long Stay Terminal 5 Parking?

Heathrow Terminal 5 Long Stay Parking (Heathrow Park & Ride) is the cheapest of Heathrow’s official parking products, offering value for money, security, and convenience, whether you’re travelling for a long period, or a short break.

Free, frequent shuttle buses will take you from the car park directly to the entrance of Terminal 5 in as little as 15-minutes.

Long Stay parking can be booked in advance for any duration over 24-hours or paid for on the day at our on-foot machines located in the car park. 

Long Stay or Short Stay Parking - Which should you choose?

You won’t find any Official Heathrow Parking cheaper than our Long Stay (Heathrow Park & Ride) product, offering a secure, conveniently located stay, just a short bus ride from Terminal 5.

To get the best rate for your Long Stay parking, you should always try to book in advance. Long Stay Parking starts at £40.80 for the first day in off-peak periods if you are paying on the day. If you are picking-up or dropping-off, stays less than 30-minutes are free, with drive-up prices applying thereafter.

Our Terminal 5 Terminal Parking car park is located adjacent to the Terminal building, with rates for a single day, when paying on the day, starting from £94.50, whilst the first 29-minutes costs £7.50.

How to find the Long Stay Car Park for Heathrow Terminal 5

Located on Heathrow’s Northern Perimeter Road, the Terminal 5 Long Stay (Heathrow Park & Ride) car park is simple to reach from the M4 and M25.

If you are using the M4, exit at Junction 4 and follow signs for Heathrow Airport (Terminals 2 & 3). At the end of the M4 spur road keep left and pass under the bridge, before taking the first exit after the bridge. Take the third exit at the next roundabout, before turning right at the traffic lights on to Northern Perimeter Road West, following signs for Long Stay (T5), the car park is on the left-hand side.

On the M25, exit at Junction 14 and follow signs for Terminal 5 and Long Stay Parking. At the Terminal 5 roundabout take the first exit and pass through the set of traffic lights and mini roundabout on to Northern Perimeter Road. Long Stay (T5) is on the right after the car rental area.

How does Long Stay Parking at Terminal 5 Work?

  1. Book in advance – We recommend booking your parking in advance for the best price if you are staying for longer than 24-hours. For any shorter stays, including pick-ups or drop-offs, please pay at one of our on-foot machines if your stay is longer than 30-minutes.

  2. Arriving at Terminal 5 Long Stay car park – Your number plate will be read when you drive up to the barrier, and a ticket will be automatically issued if you have pre-booked. A ticket will be issued by pressing the button if you are staying for a shorter time.

  3. Getting to Terminal 5 – Frequent shuttle buses run between the car park and the Terminal 5 forecourt, just a short walk across from the main terminal building.

  4. When you return – Head to bus stop 21 on the forecourt to collect the bus which will return you to the Long Stay car park. Then, simply drive up to the exit gates, which will open automatically if you have pre-booked your parking. 

How much does it cost to park in Terminal 5’s Long Stay Car Park?

If you are paying on the day, the first day in the Terminal 5 Long Stay (Heathrow Park & Ride) car park starts at £40.80, with further 24-hour periods being £32.90.

To get cheaper prices, we recommend booking your parking online in advance. To get a quote for your stay, enter your entry and exit dates, times and chosen terminal to see the best pre-booked rates.

For those picking-up or dropping-off from the Terminal 5 Long Stay car park, anything less than 30-minutes is free, with between 30-minutes and 2-hours costing £9.40.

Do I need to book my Long Stay Parking in advance?

No, it is not necessary to book your Terminal 5 Long Stay Parking (Heathrow Park & Ride) in advance of your stay.

We do however advise booking ahead of arrival, to guarantee a space and to receive the best rates we offer.

Additionally, pre-booked customers can cancel or amend their bookings up to two-hours before their scheduled arrival time, offering you peace of mind if plans change.

How do I get to Terminal 5 from the Long Stay car park?

Getting to Terminal 5 from the Long Stay (Heathrow Park & Ride) car park is simple using our free shuttle buses.

Buses serve several stops around the car park, running every 15-minutes between 04:00 and 23:30, dropping you off on the forecourt of Terminal 5 – just a short walk from the entrance.

For your return journey to the car park, head to Bus stop 21, where you can take the bus back to the bus stop nearest to the zone you have parked in.

How does Heathrow keep my car safe and secure?

Heathrow's Official Parking car parks employ several measures to give customers peace of mind that their vehicles will be kept safe during their stay.

All 11 Official Heathrow car parks are operated and managed by Heathrow. Heathrow’s third-party supplier assists with the day-to-day management of the car parks.

Car parks have controlled barrier access, while around-the-clock security frequently patrols the car parks.
