Rail disruption - 30 September & 1, 4, 6 October 2023

Due to planned engineering works and industrial action, there will be disruption to rail and London Underground services between Heathrow and Central London between Saturday 30 September and Friday 6 October 2023.

 

Over this period, there will be disruption to Heathrow Express and Piccadilly line services. The Elizabeth line will be operating as normal, and inter-terminal transfer services between all terminals will also be completed by these services.

 

Passengers should plan their journeys before travelling, and allow for additional time where necessary as services will be busier than normal.

ULEZ expansion - 29 August 2023

London's Ultra Low Emission Zone, or ULEZ, is expanding to encompass all of Greater London, including Heathrow Airport, from the 29 August 2023.

 

The initiative, implemented by Transport for London (TfL), is aimed at reducing air pollution in London, therefore all vehicles entering the airport must meet certain emissions standards in order to avoid paying a daily charge.

 

The daily charge for non-compliant vehicles is £12.50 for most vehicles, including cars, vans, and motorcycles.

 

The charge will be in addition to any other fees or charges associated with entering the airport. The charge only applies when a vehicle is driven within the ULEZ zone, and does not apply to stationary vehicles including when cars are parked at Heathrow.

 

Please note, if you have booked Meet & Greet or Valet Parking with a non-compliant vehicle, and have selected a different exit terminal to your entry terminal, you will be liable for payment of a ULEZ charge to transfer your vehicle to another terminal.

What is Short Stay Parking Terminal 2?

Situated a short 2-minute walk from the terminal, Heathrow Short Stay Parking Terminal 2 is perfect for meeting or dropping off passengers at the airport. You can pay on arrival or pre-book Heathrow Short Stay Parking Terminal 2 in advance for durations over one hour up to two hours before you arrive, subject to availability.

We advise using the ‘Get a parking quote’ widget at the top of the page to pre-book and save money. All you have to do is enter the date and time of when you want to arrive at the airport and the date and time of when you will depart, then “Get a quote”.

Directions from the M4

Exit at Junction 4, taking the M4 Spur: (Southbound) to Terminals 2 & 3 and follow signs for Short Stay car parks. Keep right on the M4 Spur: Lane 3 for remaining 1.5 miles. At the traffic lights continue straight ahead in the right-hand lane passing into the main tunnel towards the Central Terminal Area for Terminals 1, 2 & 3. Exiting the tunnel, keep right past the Central Bus Station, joining the final approaches to Terminal 2 on Cosmopolitan Way. Again, keep right as the road to Terminal 2 will move away from the building, before turning back as the road ramps up to Terminal 2 Departures & the Short Stay 2 car park on Constellation Way. On the rising ramp, continue to keep right as the ramp will lead directly into the Short Stay car park on Level 4, offering 6-lane entry barriers. Variable messaging will provide accurate information to space counts available on each level, with green beacons located above each parking bay indicating the spaces available.

Exit at Junction 14, follow the signs for Terminals 2 & 3 all the way round the Western Perimeter Road. Go through the main tunnel to the Central Terminal Area for Terminals 1, 2 & 3. Exiting the tunnel, keep right past the Central Bus Station, joining the final approaches to Terminal 2 on Cosmopolitan Way. Keep right as the road to Terminal 2 will move away from the building, before turning back as the road ramps up to Terminal 2 Departures & the Short Stay 2 car park on Constellation Way. How parking works 

When you arrive, just drive up to the barrier. Your number plate will be read and a ticket showing your booking reference will be issued automatically. If a ticket is not issued automatically, simply press the button.

Parking is available on all levels. Once safely parked, make a note of the level and row of your space before leaving the vehicle. Please note: Parking in the Fast Track Zone on Level 1 will be subject to additional charges.

To exit the car park, just insert your ticket at the exit barrier, which will open automatically. In the event of any problems with the ticket – at any payment machine or at the exit – press the intercom button for assistance.

Do I need to book?

Booking is not essential – you can simply turn up on the day – but we do recommend it, especially during particularly busy times of year at the airport.

To book, just enter the date and time of when you want to arrive at Heathrow and the date and time of when you will depart the airport in the ‘Get a parking quote’ widget at the top of the page.

How long can I stay in Terminal 2 Short Stay Parking?

For anyone who books in advance, the maximum length of stay at Heathrow Short Stay Parking Terminal 2 is 99 days.

If you just turn up on the day without pre-booking, you can stay as long as you like, you’ll just continue to pay the roll-up daily tariff. 

Overheight vehicle tariffs 

Customers may park vehicles up to 3 meters high in the designated overheight area on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 2. There is a minimum charge of £15.30 for up to two hours.

Can I charge my electric vehicle in Heathrow Short Stay Parking?

Heathrow doesn’t currently provide EV charging facilities in the Short Stay car parks. With this in mind, we recommend that all customers driving electric vehicles to the airport charge them adequately before arrival.
