International Tea Day at Heathrow

Where to sip, savour and celebrate

Maria Asaad
Airport, Food and drink,
Few things feel as reassuring as a good cup of tea, especially when you’re travelling. This International Tea Day (21 April), Heathrow is the perfect place to pause, recharge, and celebrate Britain’s favourite brew before take‑off. From luxury tea salons to quick, comforting cups on the go, we offer plenty of ways to enjoy tea in every terminal.

How to Celebrate International Tea Day at Heathrow

Build a tea moment into your journey

Travelling can be fast‑paced, but International Tea Day is a reminder to slow things down. Arrive a little earlier, find a comfortable spot airside, and enjoy a proper cup before boarding. Even a short tea break can turn waiting time into something genuinely enjoyable.

Choose a tea that suits your travel mood

If you have an early flight, then opt for a classic breakfast tea to kick start your day. A long-haul journey calls for a soothing herbal blend that’ll keep you feeling relaxed throughout the flight. Heathrow’s mix of cafés, bars, and tea specialists means you can tailor your brew to your journey.

Take tea with you

International Tea Day is also a great excuse to pick up high‑quality tea as a travel treat or gift. Heathrow’s shops stock a wide range of premium and travel‑exclusive blends, perfect for enjoying later or sharing with friends back home.
