Terminal Drop-Off Charge

From 1 November 2021, a £5 charge will apply for vehicles dropping off passengers at the designated drop-off zones, located directly outside the terminals. Discounts and exemptions will apply. Free drop-off will be available at the Long Stay car parks.

Changes to entering the UK using EU ID cards

From 1 October 2021, most EU, EEA and Swiss nationals will need to use a valid passport to travel to the UK. ID cards will no longer be accepted as a valid travel document to enter the UK, though some exemptions will apply.

    Location: The airport is situated 14 miles (23km) southeast of Grand Rapids.
    Time: GMT -5 (GMT -4 from mid-March to the first Sunday in November).
    Transfer to the City:

    The Rapid Bus Route 17 services the airport, departing regularly; adult fare starts at $1.75. Taxis, shuttle buses, and rental cars are also available at the airport.

    Car rental:

    Car rental companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National.


    Facilities at the airport include meeting rooms and conference facilities, ATMs, a selection of restaurants, vending machines, a shoe-shine stand, and gift shops.


    In the short-term lot, parking costs $2 for the first hour and $24 per day. In the long-term garage, parking costs $2 per hour, $18 per day and $126 per week. In the economy lot, parking costs $2 per hour, $10 per day, and $70 per week. Free shuttle service is provided from the more distant parking lots.
