Airlines and routes,

Singapore really does have it all, from impressive architecture and exceptional gardens to astonishing performance venues and stunning shopping streets. It is also home to the largest rooftop infinity pool and some of the best food in the world. You don’t need long in Singapore to explore its main sites, but if you are lucky enough to pay this wonderful country a visit, here are the main things to do there to appreciate it in all its glory.

Galivant around the gorgeous gardens

Singapore has some of the most wonderful parks and gardens in the world and they are great to explore during a visit to this stunning country. While there are several to discover, there are two main iconic gardens that you should definitely add to your itinerary.

Singapore Botanic Gardens is an 82-hectare wonderland of greenery brimming with gorgeous gardens. There is even a ginger garden that is home to over 550 species. This Unesco-listed utopia also features the unmissable National Orchid Garden which features an incredible botanical art gallery.

Marina Bay is just across town and is where you will find Gardens by the Bay, another must-see green land of fantasy with its creative sculptures and impressive high-tech Supertrees. You won’t want to miss the Supertrees bursting into light during the Garden Rhapsody show that takes place twice every evening.

Satisfy your hunger at the Hawker Centres

Known as the culinary hub of Southeast Asia, Singapore is full of exciting tastes and flavours that’ll give your tastebuds an unforgettable treat. There are several fine restaurants to visit when in Singapore, but the many Hawker Centres dotted around the country are a must-try.

These legendary food courts encapsulate Singapore’s culture so perfectly and are one of the best ways to get a real taste of this Southeastern Island. In fact, they were recognised on the 2020 Unesco Representative List of the Intangible Culture Heritage of Humanity for being so central to life in Singapore.

So, enjoy a real taste of Singapore by tucking into some nutty satay or barbeque stingray in one of the many Hawker Centres in the country. It is one of the most fun and cost-effective ways to enjoy your time in Singapore.

Enjoy Singapore’s splendid museums

If you really want to get cultured and learn more about this extraordinary country, then you must add a few of the superb museums in Singapore to your travel plans. The remarkable cultural institutions that are dotted all over the Island will give a real sense of present-day Singapore, as well as give you an insight into its interesting past.

One of the main places to visit is the Asian Civilisations Museum, a fascinating memoir of the cross-cultural connections in Asia. Another top museum to explore is the National Museum of Singapore which takes visitors through Singapore’s fascinating history.

The National Gallery of Singapore is a must-visit for art lovers. It is the largest public collection of Southeast Asian and Singaporean art with an array of beautiful paintings and portraits to explore and enjoy.
