As the winter 2025/2026 flying schedule begins, Heathrow’s expanding network builds even stronger links between the UK and the rest of the world. With new airlines, new routes and increased frequencies, this season supports the travel, trade and tourism that helps the UK grow.

Here’s what’s new from 26 October 2025

New airlines landing at Heathrow

Four new airlines join Heathrow this season, connecting travellers with more parts of the world and providing fresh options for business, leisure, and onward journeys.

Riyadh Air → Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Riyadh Air has chosen Heathrow for its first-ever route, marking an exciting new chapter that strengthens trade, tourism and cultural ties between London and the Saudi capital.

  • Launch date: December (exact date TBC)
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Terminal: 4
  • Fleet: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Best for: business travellers, visiting friends and family, and cultural discovery in Saudi Arabia’s east.
 

IndiGo → Mumbai, India

India’s largest airline makes its Heathrow debut this winter, flying direct from Mumbai. From there, passengers can connect to over 130 destinations across India and beyond.

  • Launch date: 26 October
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Terminal: 3
  • Fleet: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Best for: family visits, connecting journeys across India, and winter escapes with a cultural edge.
 

Air Peace → Abuja, Nigeria

Nigeria’s largest carrier joins Heathrow’s line-up, connecting London with Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja. A strong new link for business, family visits and cultural exchange between the UK and Nigeria.

  • Launch date: 26 October
  • Frequency: Three flights per week
  • Terminal: 3
Best for: visiting friends and relatives, business travel and trips to Nigeria’s dynamic capital.

Lufthansa City → Munich, Germany

A familiar route with a new look: Lufthansa’s Munich flights will now operate under the Lufthansa City brand. Same aircraft, same comfort, same great service – just a new operating code.

  • Launch date: 26 October
  • Frequency: 36 flights per week
  • Terminal: 2
Best for: city breaks, festive getaways and winter trips to Bavaria’s alpine gateways.
 

New routes taking off this winter

A pair of new destinations join Heathrow’s map this season - perfect for both sunshine seekers and business travellers.

Virgin Atlantic → Cancun, Mexico

Virgin’s new route makes it easier than ever to reach Mexico’s Caribbean coast. Think white-sand beaches, turquoise seas, and a laid-back rhythm that’s impossible to resist.

  • Launch date: 19 October
  • Frequency: Three flights per week
  • Terminal: 3
Best for: beach holidays, winter sun escapes and family trips to Mexico’s coast.
 

Saudia → Dammam, Saudi Arabia

A key business destination joins Saudia’s growing UK network, offering new connections into Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

  • Launch date: 26 October
  • Frequency: Three flights per week
  • Terminal: 4
Best for: business travellers, visiting friends and family, and cultural discovery in Saudi Arabia’s east.

A number of this year’s new summer routes will continue into the winter season, giving travellers more chances to enjoy these popular destinations.
