Raise a glass to a new tradition

English Wine Week runs from Sat 21 to Sun 29 June - an annual celebration of the country’s growing wine scene. This year’s message is simple: Create New Traditions. Whether you're toasting something special, picking up a gift, or just curious to try something local, now’s the perfect time to explore English sparkling wine.

English sparkling wine has been turning heads for decades, winning more and more awards each year, most recently securing the ‘top scoring wine’ in the Battle of the Bubbles blind tasting against top Champagnes and other premium fizz. With well over 1,000 vineyards to choose from, there’s no better time to try a glass or even a bottle. English Wine Week is about embracing our domestic wine industry and making the switch to drink English wine. Join us and Create New Traditions at Heathrow this June.

After centuries of importing wine from abroad, England is now making its mark - with sparkling wines that are crisp, characterful, and winning awards around the world. At Heathrow, we’ve selected four exceptional producers: Ridgeview, Chapel Down, Nyetimber and Gusbourne.

A taste of England’s finest

""

Ridgeview is a family-founded English sparkling wine producer with over 30 years’ experience. Their fruit-forward, complex wines are crafted using traditional methods with a focus on quality and sustainability.

""

Fresh, modern and unmistakably English, Chapel Down’s wines are a favourite with chefs, royals and wine lovers alike. Crisp and elegant, they pair beautifully with food.

""

Nyetimber crafts all its wines from estate-grown grapes using the traditional method. Classic Cuvee is smooth, refined and quietly confident - just like the brand itself.

""

Known for its vintage-only approach, Gusbourne creates layered, expressive wines with real depth. A sleek choice for thoughtful gifts or elevated toasts.

Spotlight: Ridgeview

Award-winning producers based in the heart of the South Downs, Ridgeview has helped put English wine on the global stage. A certified B Corp, the estate blends traditional winemaking with a pioneering approach rooted in quality and sustainability. Named IWSC International Winemaker of the Year in 2018, beating some of Champagne’s biggest names, Ridgeview is known for crafting sparkling wines worthy of landmark moments. Bloomsbury NV, their signature blend, was the official sparkling wine of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Bursting with bright citrus, notes of apple and brioche, it’s crisp, fresh and full of celebration.
