St. George’s Chapel has been part of Heathrow since 1968, founded by the Anglican Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Free Churches. It provides a quiet place for Christian worship, reflection and prayer for airport colleagues and travellers.
The Chapel is located underground, away from the terminals, and is accessed via a spiral staircase. Its setting offers a calm place to pause away from the busy airport environment.
St. George’s Chapel is open for Roman Catholic services at the following times:
| Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12:30 Mass | 12:00 Rosary | No services | 12:00 Rosary | No services | 12:00 Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament | No services |
| 12:30 Mass | 12:30 Mass | 12:30 Mass |
Additional Masses may take place on Holy Days of Obligation and Solemnities. Please contact the chaplaincy team for up-to-date information.
Please note: the Chapel is not open for general visits outside of scheduled services.
The Chapel is reached via its spiral staircase. There is currently no step-free access to the Chapel itself.
The Garden of Remembrance is located at ground level, directly above the Chapel. It is open to everyone and remains accessible even when the Chapel is closed.
The Garden includes memorial plaques remembering airport colleagues and flights that have been lost. Airport-based organisations wishing to arrange a memorial plaque should contact the chaplaincy team.
This space is suitable for quiet reflection or a short break away from the terminals.
Follow signs from Heathrow’s Central Bus Station. St. George’s Chapel and the Garden of Remembrance are around 200 metres way.
