Covid-19 testing at Heathrow

4-hour and same-day PCR tests

Operated by
ExpressTest

Travel testing service at Heathrow

ExpressTest offers various testing options available depending on your needs and requirements.

It's important to note that testing requirements and options can change frequently, so it's always recommended to check with your airline, the relevant embassy or consulate, or the government website of your destination country for the latest information on testing requirements and options.

How it works

  • Book your test

Book your appointment and pay online. You will be sent a booking confirmation email with a QR code to bring to your appointment.

  • Arriving for your test

You will be greeted by a member of the ExpressTest team, who will check your documentation and direct you to your swabber. You will need to have your passport and booking confirmation email.

  • The testing process

Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes before your swab is taken. You will be swabbed by one of our clinically trained swabbing practitioners. Swabbing involves taking a sample from the nasal passage.

  • Your results

When your results are available, you will be notified by email.

Please be aware that:

  • Each passenger is solely responsible for checking and conforming with the entry and exit requirements at their arrival and return destinations and for booking the correct type of test. Requirements may include temperature checks, proof of negative Covid test or completion of forms.
  • Heathrow is not advertising Covid-19 testing services as a Heathrow product, travel service or holiday feature. Heathrow is not responsible for the timing, quality or outcome of any Covid-19 testing service offered by any third-party test provider at Heathrow Airport nor on any impact on your ability to travel. Please check the terms and conditions of the test provider and the local requirements of your destination.
  • You can find further guidance and information on travelling to and from the UK on the Foreign Commonwealth & Development website.
  • If you fail to comply with these requirements, you may not be able to travel or be allowed to enter your destination.
  • Passengers are not able to use NHS testing facilities for travel-related testing
  • If you test positive at the airport and are flying that day, you will need to contact your airline to reschedule
  • Do not use the testing facilities located at Heathrow if you suspect you have Covid-19 symptoms.
