Kuwait Airways began in 1954 as a private airline. After early financial difficulties, the Kuwaiti government took a 50% stake, and then full control in 1963. In the aftermath of the Iraqi invasion, the airline was relaunched with new premises and aircraft.
This airline is not currently a member of the main airline alliances. It may operate some routes under codeshare agreements (where partner airlines sell seats on the same aircraft, each using its own flight number). Your airline can advise whether this applies to any part of your journey.
