Dedicated area for drivers of private hire vehicles and licensed taxis
Heathrow's Authorised Vehicle Area is a dedicated location for private hire vehicles and licensed taxis in which to wait for passengers prior to picking up from a Terminal Parking car park and meeting at an agreed location within the terminal.
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on-site facilities include vending machines, hot refreshments, a covered smoking area, toilets and litter bins throughout.
Access is for authorised Private Hire Operators and their vehicles only.
A valid Private Hire Operator’s licence or licensed taxi operator licence must be shown on request to members of staff or the police.

Heathrow's Authorised Vehicle Area is located on the Northern Perimeter Road, where the entrance is clearly signposted.

Costs for using the Authorised Vehicle Area are £1.00 an hour for the first five hours. Any further time is the same rate as Heathrow's Terminal Parking car parks.
No pre-booking is required to use the Authorised Vehicle Area. Payment can be made by using the Apcoa Connect App, or at pay-on-foot machines in the Authorised Vehicle Area, by credit or debit card.

When picking up passengers or customers from the airport, you can use the near-terminal Terminal Parking, formerly Short Stay, car parks and meet your passenger at an agreed location in the terminal, or one of our Park & Ride, previously known as Long Stay, car parks, which are a short bus ride from the terminal forecourts.
