Heathrow's #AvGeek of the Month for January 2020 is Alex Berman.
We’ve caught up with Harry to find out more about his passion for aviation and top tips as a spotter.
Name: Alex Berman
Age: 20 years old
Where are you from: London, England
ALL 3!
I flew frequently when I was young, but I never really got attached to aviation until I was 14 years old, when I flew to Hamburg with British Airways. During takeoff, the breathtaking view of Terminal 5 and the City of London from above just made me go 'WOW'.
My dad had a Nikon D90 and when he took me to the famous Myrtle Avenue for plane spotting, my passion for aviation photography arose, as well as my Instagram account, which I have maintained for over 5 years!
Now I always love to fly around Europe for aviation photography and meet up with local photographers, as I really enjoy meeting new people.
I love seeing the amazing variety of airlines and aircraft that fly in from around the world, as well as meeting new people who share the same passion as me.
I've had countless opportunities of meeting many people/photographers around the world at Heathrow, some of whom I have the pleasure of calling them my great friends - from Europe to the US and even Australia!
Heathrow truly is one of my favourite places to go as it connects so many of us and I am very lucky to have this passion.
I don't really have a favourite, I like them all!
I mainly use Instagram to share pictures that I've taken from Heathrow and other airports I have been to!
