WebTrak upgrade provides 3D functionality and Rainfall Layer
4 December 2017
Webtrak, one of Heathrow’s map-based tools providing information on aircraft as they take off and land at the airport, now includes two new enhanced functionalities – the ability to track flights in 3D and a “Rainfall Layer” feature.
The Rainfall Layer has been developed to aid understanding and provide greater transparency of how weather events, such as thunderstorms, can cause aircraft to be positioned in places where they are not usually. These enhancements are part of Heathrow’s commitment to continually develop our online tools and communications.
Webtrak is a flight tracking tool which allows you to locate your address on the map, display individual planes as they take off or land at Heathrow. You can also look at specific flights over different day and time periods.
Webtrak can be found here.
