World of opportunities

The ‘World of Opportunity Programme’ is part of a plan to guarantee British businesses benefit from the economic opportunities provided by Heathrow, the UK’s only hub airport.

Each year, Heathrow, in partnership with the Department for International Trade and Plaza Premium, awards 20 grants to UK Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as part of the World of Opportunity Programme. The grants, of £2,000, can be used to fund trade missions, research global markets, and help grow UK SME exports.
