Now, thanks to Heathrow’s World of Opportunity programme, Ochil Fudge is preparing to introduce a taste of Scotland to the U.S. market. The grant will support Ochil Fudge to conduct vital market research and attend a trade mission — two key steps in their journey to share our fudge with international customers.
This marks a major milestone for Ochil Fudge to grow the brand while championing Scottish food and drink abroad.

Parable Studios is a cross-industry pioneer demonstrating how to integrate AI into gaming innovation ethically and creatively, benefiting not just the games industry but the creative industry as a whole. Their focus is on fairness, sustainability and (most importantly) fun. Parable Studios’ AI is trained exclusively on in-house data, collected from cohorts of trained actors that are fairly remunerated for their hard work and creativity. Their first game, Millennium Whisper, uses a patent pending AI development process to deliver more nuanced and unique AI characters that are specially designed to run effectively on low resource consumer hardware, doing wonders for player experience, developer costs, and the environment, whilst facilitating lasting reach to a global audience.
The Natural Fibre Company is a British wool spinning mill in Launceston, Cornwall, with expertise in British-breed fibre processing. The business works with a range of sustainable fibres including wool, alpaca and mohair. Their trade customers include the British farming community, premium brand fashion houses and knitwear designers and they source traceable British-reared wool, transforming it into beautiful, premium-quality yarns for weaving, knitting and felt-based products. Their work includes research fibre trials and new product development activity with less familiar blends such as dog hair, human hair, ruby cattle fibre, guanaco, llama and nettle. As well as making yarns for their trade customers they design and produce their own breed-specific yarns under the brand name, Blacker Yarns which they sell worldwide via their ecommerce platform and through third party stockists in Europe, Canada and America, with 45% of the products they make exported to international markets.
Creative Stripes is a Hertfordshire-based marketing agency. Their product, Mapper Cards, has been developed from the founder’s own experience of having dyslexia. They are unique decks of cards designed to help visual thinkers, particularly those with neurodivergent minds to visually plan out their ideas when starting and growing a business. Recognising the global need for innovative tools that cater to diverse cognitive styles, Creative Stripes aims to expand sales of Mapper Cards into international markets, having already proven demand.
Winning the World of Opportunity programme provides a vital springboard for the business to achieve these ambitions. The funding and guidance will support the business to explore new territories, participate in key trade opportunities, and tailor marketing strategies for a global audience. The vision for Creative Stripes is to see Mapper Cards become an affordable, recognised and valued resource for business owners anywhere, ensuring entrepreneurship is accessible to all.
Diamond Hard Surfaces Ltd specialise in advanced materials technology, providing innovative solutions for high-endurance applications using their unique, patented amorphous diamond material, Adm™. Their coatings significantly extend the lifespan of components operating in extreme environments, offering exceptional durability, abrasion resistance, and low friction. In the past 4 years they have developed new IP and technology around thermal management and will continue to push into that sector.
The company has clearly defined unique selling points which support sustainability, reliability and performance enhancement. Their ability to provide customers with solutions which are environmentally friendly both from a production and end use perspective mean they have a bright future ahead.

iBiotech is an award winning, privately funded, company based in Wolverhampton. They are focused on sustainable biomaterial development for a range of applications. Recently they have successfully completed two projects with Innovate-UK, and iBiotech is nearing the end of their patent development for a luxury bio-based leather produced from brewing by-products. This material has attracted strong interest from leading fashion houses as a sustainable alternative to leathers and for several use-cases.
Beyond preparing for large-scale bioleather exports to meet anticipated demand, iBiotech actively pursues innovative collaborations. These include a research partnership with the University of Milan to advance the understanding of neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson's. This international collaboration has already yielded a competition win at Cambridge University’s Syn2025 conference, funding support from the University of Wolverhampton, and an upcoming academic publication.
