A new learning and development support programme for SMEs
Aligning with our Connecting People and Planet sustainability strategies, this initiative will support our strategic objective of fostering a thriving supply chain and making positive impact on the SME community.
The programme offers a mix of in-person and virtual workshops to support SMEs in building practical knowledge and capabilities. It focuses on key areas aligned with Heathrow’s minimum procurement requirements (essential workshop), including carbon reporting, health and safety, cyber and data protection, insurance, and responsible business foundations.
The programme offers a mix of in-person and virtual workshops to support SMEs in building practical knowledge and capabilities. We will publish future workshop dates once confirmed.
The SME Academy Roadshow helps SMEs understand Heathrow’s supplier process and how to win contracts. It covers the full procurement journey and support available through the SME Academy. A tendering session by Branduin also shares proven tactics for writing successful bids.
Following the Branduin Fit To Bid® session at the launch of the Heathrow SME Academy on 4 July 2025, please see the upcoming bid skills workshop schedule listed alongside all future workshops. Delivered by experienced procurement advisors, the interactive workshops will provide you with the practical knowledge and skills you need to master the art and science of bid writing, and submit bids to council procurement, construction and Infrastructure projects, and large private sector buyers – including Heathrow Airport.
The virtual workshop is scheduled for January 2026 - more details will be shared soon.
