Airspace closures in the Middle East

Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East and resulting airspace closures in the region, a small number of flights at Heathrow have been cancelled or delayed.

Welcome to Heathrow Volunteers

Heathrow is proud to have a team of volunteers who assist at the airport during busy times and large events. Our volunteers help ‘make every journey better’ at Heathrow, from offering a warm welcome and answering questions to escorting passengers through the airport journey.

Launched during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, our Volunteer Programme became a game-changer at Heathrow. Our volunteers made such a great impact that we made the initiative permanent.

Since then, our volunteers have been at the heart of major events, from the opening of Terminal 2, to international sporting events. Our volunteers have also helped us support charitable causes like Marie Curie, Children in Need, and the Poppy Appeal.

We're not currently recruiting new volunteers, but information will be available here if we do in the future.
