London Underground strike action: 21-24 April

Due to planned strike action, there will be little to no service across all London Underground services, including the Piccadilly line to Heathrow, between 21 and 24 April 2026

Heathrow Express, Elizabeth line, and local bus services will run as normal on these days. Please plan your journey prior to travelling to Heathrow, and allow for extra time where necessary, as these services will be busier than normal.

Nature and the community

Heathrow Rangers are experienced horticulturalists that support multiple legacy and enhancement projects to beautify and transform gardens, allotments and other internal and external spaces across our local neighbouring villages.

Heathrow partners with five local primary schools through a variety of initiatives, including informative workshops, colleague volunteering and resource provision. We recently introduced a nature positive workshop for our partner schools. It was designed to inspire students to engage with nature and make a positive impact on their local environment.

British Airways and Heathrow are also working in partnership with London Wildlife Trust to help protect local wildlife and ensure Hillingdon residents can enjoy the abundance of wildlife that surrounds them. Called ‘Connecting with Nature in Hillingdon’, the project will help to protect and enhance seven nature reserves and country parks in the Hillingdon area.
