Following a competitive judging process and a record number of applications, these small businesses have been selected for their ambition to grow internationally. We look forward to supporting them as they develop their export plans and expand into new markets.

About the programme

As the UK’s largest port by value, Heathrow connects British businesses with customers and partners around the world.

World of Opportunity supports small and medium sized businesses across the UK to grow through trade. The programme combines funding with practical support to help businesses:

build clear export strategies
explore new international markets
take the next step with confidence

Partnerships and benefits

World of Opportunity is delivered in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses and works with the Department for Business and Trade to provide expert export support.

Each winner receives:

£2,000 grant funding
one year’s membership with the Federation of Small Businesses
mentoring from senior Heathrow colleagues
an export coaching session with the Department for Business and Trade

Runners up also receive access to export coaching support.
