Regulation is an important part of the Group's business with the group owning some of the UK’s most critical transport infrastructure. Various UK regulatory bodies influence the Group’s operations including:
- The Department for Transport that is responsible for UK aviation policy
- The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the UK’s independent aviation sector regulator that, among other things, is responsible for the economic regulation of Heathrow and Stansted airports
- The Competition Commission, which is involved in the price control determinations for the three London airports carried out typically every five years as well as being the UK’s overall competition regulator.
Here you can find regulatory accounts of Heathrow Airport Limited, Gatwick Airport Limited* and Stansted Airport Limited for the last eight regulatory years.
For more information and publications of the different regulatory bodies please see the Heathrow Regulation website
