From 1 November 2021, a £5 charge will apply for vehicles dropping off passengers at the designated drop-off zones, located directly outside the terminals. Discounts and exemptions will apply. Free drop-off will be available at the Long Stay car parks.

Changes to entering the UK using EU ID cards

From 1 October 2021, most EU, EEA and Swiss nationals will need to use a valid passport to travel to the UK. ID cards will no longer be accepted as a valid travel document to enter the UK, though some exemptions will apply.

    Transfer to the City:

    Taxis are available from the stand in front of Arrivals, and an airport surcharge is added to the fare. Airport buses are available for THB 30 and take passengers downtown. They leave from the platform in front of the Arrivals hall at Terminal 1 and from below 'Bus Stop Airport Bus' signs. Trains at Don Mueang Railway Station (500m from the Arrivals Hall) run from 6am to 8pm. The fare to Bangkok with an ordinary diesel train is around THB 20. Public buses to Bangkok railway station and other main destinations in the city are also available. An Airport Bus also runs between Dong Mueang Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport. This service is free of charge, but boarding passes need to be presented to the driver.

    Car rental:

    Car rental agencies represented at the airport include Avis, Budget, and Sixt.

    Facilities:

    Facilities include three banks, ATMs, bureaux de change, restaurants, supermarket, VIP lounge, medical facility, children's play area and a tourist information desk.

    Parking:

    Parking is located opposite the main terminal building, costing about THB 20 per hour and up to THB 250 per day.
