  • Heathrow’s #AvGeek of the Month

Heathrow's #AvGeek of the Month for August is Henry Heming.

Heathrow’s #AvGeek of the Month – Henry Heming

The winner of Heathrow Airport’s August #AvGeek of the Month is Henry Heming!

We’ve caught up with Henry to find out more about his passion as an aviation enthusiast, spotter and photographer.

    Name: Henry Heming

    Age: 26 years old

Where are you from: London UK

    Definitely all 3!

I have loved aeroplanes ever since I was a kid and I have surrounded myself in the industry ever since. I enjoy the thrill of no two days being the same and the technological advancements that have been brought about thanks to the aviation industry.

I love the variety of airlines that fly into the airport and how busy it is. Heathrow Airport is a focal point for meeting friends and having a good day out.

My favourite livery has got to be the Landor livery on the Boeing 747.

    • Be yourself. Put your own spin on pictures or videos that you take and don't be afraid to share this with airports/airlines!
    • Meet people. Whilst the planespotting community is quite niche, everyone is quite nice to talk to about the love of aviation. There are a number of Facebook groups about Planespotting and Aviation that share a lot of aeroplane pictures.
    • Download an app like Flightradar24 so you don't get caught out when a special liveried aircraft is coming in on a different runway or early/late!
Think you know someone who should be Heathrow #AvGeek of the month?
