Low Emission Vehicles Policy and Electric Vehicles Infrastructure
This CVP seminar is focused on helping you take practical action to implement low emission vehicles in your fleet. The first session looked at the latest policy developments and drivers that are supporting action. First there was a presentation on the latest proposals by the Mayor of London for promoting Low Emission Vehicles in the capital. Then we heard the latest from the Government’s Office of Low Emission Vehicles on incentives and support to help you take up low emission vehicles. Lastly, after the VW revelations how well are the latest Euro5 and 6 vehicles performing in real word conditions and what does this mean for getting the best for your fleet.
The second session looked at the work Heathrow are doing to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Heathrow set out their vison going forward with electric vehicles and how you can get involved. There was a presentation by the Energy Saving Trust who have worked with the airport to develop the evidence base on the need for charging infrastructure and where this should be, and how this is supporting Heathrow’s plans. Lastly Dnata provided a fleet users perspective on why EV’s can make sense for operations at Heathrow.
