Heathrow’s Centre of Excellence is a hub of learning and exploration in sustainable air travel. The centre will bring together the people, organisations and ideas to help unlock the new era of sustainable flight. We are also incentivising airlines to develop electric aircraft for the future by offering free landing fees for a year worth up to £1Million.
We are a member of the Sustainable Aviation (SA) coalition in the UK, and Airports Council International (ACI) in Europe. We will continue to play our part by influencing the development of an industry roadmap to show the feasibility of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
