Noise Action Plan

The Noise Action Plan sets out how Heathrow will manage and mitigate the impacts of aircraft noise over the next five years. It goes beyond the requirements of European legislation by considering actions which will manage ground and air noise for all those communities affected. The plan is reviewed and audited annually. Heathrow is starting the process of developing a new Noise Action Plan for the period 2019-2023. The first steps are to review the existing Noise Action Plan and, in consultation with the Heathrow Community Noise Forum, look for new ideas for actions and fields of research for the new Noise Action Plan.
