Noise Action Plan

The Noise Action Plan sets out how Heathrow plans to manage and reduce the impact of aircraft noise over a five-year period from 2019-2023. It goes beyond the requirements of European legislation by considering actions which will manage ground and air noise for all those communities affected.

The Noise Action Plan includes comprehensive summaries of noise regulations applicable at Heathrow and our Framework for Noise Management. We have 52 actions and commitments over this five-year period.

The Annexes document presents a summary of the outcomes of our previous Noise Action Plan which has been independently audited (Annex 13), descriptions of how the actions have evolved (Annexes 13 and 16) and responses to comments from the public during the 2018 consultation on our draft Noise Action Plan (Annex 15).
