Heathrow has seen a slight increase in absence rates from 9.48 average days per colleague in 2013 to 9.55 in 2014.

The number of Heathrow employees from black and minority ethnic backgrounds and employee gender balance was above UK average in 2014.

Enhance Heathrow's position as an employer of choice


51% of new recruits to Heathrow in 2014 were from the local community an increase of 26% from 24% in 2013.

Continuously improve colleague engagement


The proportion of colleagues who completed the colleague engagement survey was 86% in 2013 to 85% in 2014.

The Heathrow Star Awards Scheme was delivered in 2013/14. These are colleague recognition awards which recognise individual acts which help Heathrow achieve it's mission of "making every journey better".

100% of eligible colleagues have received performance reviews in 2014 compared to 99% in 2013.
