CVP Awards

We are excited to launch the new CVP Awards this year!! The deadline for applications is the 31 August so don’t delay getting you application into us.

The awards event will be held at The Park Inn on 19 October with senior delegates from within the airport community and external stakeholders. We expect media presence covering the event and reporting on the great work of CVP members. This is an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of your organisation and its sustainability credentials!

The winners of each award listed below will have the chance to present their achievements at the awards event. In addition, a panel of expert judges will then assess these presentations and reward the CVP Champion 2017.

If you have any questions you can reach us at heathrow_cvp@ricardo.com

How to apply

There are three awards recognising the achievement of different aspects of fleet emission reduction and efficient fleet management. To make the process as simple as possible we have just three questions for each application. A business can apply for each award separately if they wish. Please click the name of the award to download the application form:

CVP Improver Award: For the business that has shown the greatest improvement in fleet emissions over the year.

The application will be assessed on the following activities over the past twelve months:

  • Investing in vehicles beyond regulatory requirements or natural fleet turnover
  • Making changes to operations to improve sustainability and emissions
  • Removing the most polluting vehicles and improving the worst performing operations

The winner will have demonstrated some or all of the above, leading to improvements in vehicle emissions. You can use the CVP emissions calculation tools to estimate your emissions.

CVP Innovator Award: For the business that has trialled or implemented cutting edge technology ahead of current practice and beyond current commercial availability.

The application will be assessed on the following activities over the past twelve months:

  • Investing in clean vehicle technologies that are not yet commercially viable
  • Investing in infrastructure to support sustainable fleets
  • Trialling radical new technologies
  • Implementing brave and radical sustainable working practices

The winner will have demonstrated some or all of the above, and proven the potential for the innovation to have a significant impact on emissions in the future.

CVP Leadership Award: For the business that has shown a commitment to fleet emissions improvement and sustainability over the long term.

The application will be assessed on the following activities over the past three years:

  • Investing beyond regulatory requirements or natural fleet turnover
  • Deploying a significant percentage of ZEVs in their fleet
  • Implementing sustainable working practices
  • Disseminating best practice to other businesses

The winner will have demonstrated some or all of the above, leading to a more sustainable fleet and ideally, adoption of best practice elsewhere on the airport.
